We certainly understand many of the questions better than you represent. Like many people using natural language to pose possible answers to questions of how humans think, natural language is ignored when in fact it is most certainly the unique feature of most importance to being human. Computational cognitive neuroscience of truth and lies basically says that the mental computations (of truth and deceit) are not unique to human brains, but their communication between animals is unique to our species at anything even close to the fidelity we readily observe with people.
