This is a nice article on evolution. I recommend audibling Darwin to recall how he argued this way too but with no knowledge of organic chemistry. That said, a thoroughly new perspective on computational cognitive neuroscience assumes evolution has given us the scientific tool in plain sight, which 99% of the researchers in the field miss completely. But agreeing with Descartes, can be understood and proven scientifically by anybody by direct observation.
