Justin Ward's paper makes a case worth considering, but there is more to consider.

Naomi Klein's historical journalism work is worth reading to see where the evil seed of war has been kept and spread after WWII. However, I believe she believes it was a capitalist problem, when Putin pretty much illustrates it is not.

Her book called "Disaster Capitalism" is really about what happens with pyrric disaster brought about by the opportunity of power and greed through divisive lying.

I pointed this out in this article

voting for DIVISIVE LIARS is the common thread to the grab of power and greed.

Vengeance by government, without the distribution of power to guarantee it's appropriate application by government, as George Washington said, is the

root of the Loss of Liberty. He correctly pointed out that democracy is Liberty's greatest protector, but only if Patriots of Liberty realize that divisive lies must be eshewed.

In the last words of his farewell address, Geo. Washington hoped for a "benign government under good laws." You can have that, with decisive power as needed, if people, an educated populace, do not divide truth with divisive lying. Chaplin gave the very best scream of this more fundamental truth to future generations in his 1940 movie, the Great Dictator...
