James Clerk Maxwell was a Christian as were and are many other "natural philosophers." (e.g., Descartes -- father of the Age of Reason, Father of modern science and cognitive science, rules of evidence in law, as were Newton, Darwin, etc.. People should read the end of Darwin's "Origin of the Species" and see what he wrote that they believe he was against.) JCM said it best:
