I suggest like you have a speed control, there are settings associated with different tags that can cause some non-default behavior. For example, a poem tag, sarcasm, narrative, etc. These change acceptable prosody a lot. Obviously you could also just try to recognize more than one sentence at a time. That would be better and leave the user alone, but he still might want to set it up different ways.
