Here are other of my articles you might want to read. The first is how your brain computes and the second is explicitly what sentience actually is in terms of brain computation. It really is nothing more than that, but what it actually is pretty awe inspiring. The third paper includes "the fundamental symmetry of neural computation" that makes sentience inevitable in reasonably successful living neural systems. Also, it's not 'gradients' in terms of the computational cognitive science, it is a small percentage of living time during which moments of sentience/consciousness take place. All animals sleep. This paper also links to a paper on that. These are YouTubes but the medium links to the articles, being read by my Robot Love, are in the YouTube descriptions. There is nothing in the YouTubes except the reading of each corresponding Medium article.
