That said, and congruent with your points: People have tried before... Herb Simon, Nobel Prize in Economics, nearly always prefaced his talks with with "People think I am an Economist. No, I am a Psychologist." His office at CMU was in the Psychology Dept. Not the Economics 'dept'

That said, the science of the psychology is most often ignored...and it is a problem now that the psychological science is warning us the economy is endangered for reasons having nothing to do with classical economics. But with lies out of control and simultaneously in control by monied interests (chaos) amplified by the psychological power of fiat lies...
