Geo. Washington if you read his farewell address carefully, said explicitly that some of the lying of party (faction) was unavoidable. It is the type of lying that also will be inevitable that is perniciously divisive or obstructive of the constitution and the laws and norms around it that must be eschewed by every patiot of liberty.
No nation is immune including the US. That is why Geo. Washington wrote his farewell address to tell US what our responsibility had to be to keep our liberty.

I didn't understand what you were saying about Billy Graham but we may have an honest disagreement on him. I said what I believe I saw in him and his actions as well as his tolerance for differences of opinion open to debate. He supported some liars that he should not have (e.g., Nixon).
And we are all sorry about that.
Everybody lies all the time. That is a scientific fact borne of statistical inevitability just as heat warms rooms but too much heat burns down your house.
