I suspect that because you are a Physicist what you say carries more weight. But of course this pattern is common in every academic discipline that relies on empirical knowledge.

Here is a paper I wrote which basically shows that Physics is a cult. I don't name it that way, I simply show it. This is because as Liars, Physicists are better than Psychologists every day of the week.

I've been studying lying as a computational cognitive neuroscientist since 2018. Basically there is no literature because it would be career suicide to study lying pretty much in any discipline. I've lost long term friends who scream "I never lie." Except they do, everyday, to someone. It's statistically impossible that they do not. Proof:

I've been studying it because now I can and I have found it an incredibly way to reveal nervous system computation. I also committed career suicide previously. Voluntarily. I wouldn't be studying if it were not a rich source of solid empirical observation about brain computations.
