You can't get a degree in mendaciology by lying. In fact, you get a degree in law by being good, if not great, at lying. That is the mendaciology of that.
You can get a degree in mendaciology if you want to understand how to keep socially unacceptable lies at bay, and stay with the computational cognitive neuroscience where we know what we are talking about.
Facts are facts and mendaciology is a science that observes very carefully and never lies. Intentionally, anyway.
That said, sometimes science gets things profoundly wrong.
I got mendaciology to own another word for itself because that word was in prior usage proven to be a lie back at the beginning of the last century.
